INTERVIEWS

As a drama student, I always strive to deepen my knowledge and experience in all areas of the theatre and film industry. I have been fortunate to become acquainted with performers, writers, and teachers alike, and am continually willing to learn and gain insight from these valuable contacts.

JACK WHITAM

I met Jack Whitam in December 2019 when I was a 'participant' in the immersive performance of 'A Christmas Carol' held at Immersive LDN. Jack played the role of Jacob Marley. After the show, I had the opportunity to speak with Jack and his co-professionals, and he very kindly agreed to an interview with me at a mutually convenient time. I met with Jack again in London in February 2020, when he was rehearsing for his current role with the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Now writing scripts, I found Max's transition extremely interesting and was lucky to be able to discuss his career with him at length!

He used the knowlage he aquirde in Afganistan  to write his book Six Months Without Sundays:The Scots Guards in Afghanistan, which was published in November 2011 by Birlinn.
